Statement:

'Contact with wet cementious mixes (such as ready mixed concrete and screeds) can cause diseases and burns. It is your responsibility to ensure that your staff are made aware of these hazards and that the appropriate protective clothing, footwear and eye protection is used. Health and safety data is printed on the rear of delivery tickets and additional health & safety information can be found on the web site.' WC Watts.


When working with concrete the following safety precautions should be observed:


1. Wear protective clothing, hard hats, goggles, gloves and Wellington Boots.

2. Avoid direct contact with concrete to your skin and eyes. Wash off immediately if contamination is unavoidable.

3. Should your skin or eyes come into contact with concrete, you must immediately rinse with water and seek medical advice.
